GardaWorld Security “Ombiiyaa Mishibizii” Rising Lion Scholarship Bursary

This award will support one Indigenous student enrolled in the Police Foundations program at Confederation College. The student must be enrolled in full-time studies and demonstrate financial need as determined by Financial Aid. Preference will be given to students who self-identify as having Indigenous heritage.
In addition, the recipient will be offered an opportunity for employment with GardaWorld, providing them with on-the-ground experience at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. This opportunity is designed to support their professional development and allow them to interact with police officers, correctional officers, and healthcare professionals in a real-world setting.
