Are you a full-time student enrolled in one of the following programs?

School of Health, Negahneewin & Community Services

  • Practical Nursing (2 years)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (4 years)
  • Dental Hygiene (3 years)
  • Medical Radiation Technology (3 years)
    School of Engineering Technology, Trades and Aviation
  • Mechanical Engineering Technology (3 years)
  • Electrical Engineering Technology (3 years)

You could be eligible for a bursary that will cover up to $5,000 tuition — for every year of your program!
Note: $5000 for Bachelor of Science in Nursing students, $4000 for all other eligible programs.

BURSARY GUIDELINES

  • All recipients must be citizens or permanent residents of Canada and attending a post-secondary institution in Canada.
  • Bursaries will be awarded based on financial need and personal circumstance, often in conjunction with a student’s effort and commitment to his/her studies.
  • Preference may be given to those who have no other avenues of funding or supports in their pursuit of post secondary education.
  • Bursaries awarded are to be applied against tuition, school fees and books only.
  • Students must be enrolled in a full-time course of study.

Preference will be given to students who have graduated from a high school in the region of northwestern Ontario within the last three years.

Applicants must submit a short essay explaining how they have overcome obstacles and adversity as well as a letter of reference from an individual who is aware of their personal circumstances and can speak to their resilience in the face of adversity and potential for success in their post-secondary studies.
